Photography Runs in My Blood – A Family Legacy Since Jagdish Color Studio

For me, photography isn’t just a profession — it’s a cherished family tradition.

The Roots of Our Legacy

My journey into the world of photography began long before I held my first camera. It started with my uncle, the Late Shri Jagdish Bhatia, who founded the iconic Jagdish Color Studio in Vadodara. With overwhelming love from clients, the studio quickly became a trusted name in town.

Seeing this success, my father, Mr. Srichand Bhatia, left his stable job to support the growing studio. As the eldest in the family, he led with unwavering dedication. My grandfather, Mr. Teckchand Bhatia, a respected RMP by profession, took charge of the cash counter and overall studio management. Together, they laid a strong foundation rooted in trust, skill, and exceptional service.

My Entry into the Frame

In 2002, after completing my studies, I officially joined Jagdish Color Studio. It was an honor to learn under the guidance of my elders. I gained insights not just into how to take a photo, but also how to build lasting client relationships and handle each shoot with heart.

However, as time evolved, so did the industry. The world of photography was changing rapidly, and adapting was crucial for survival.

The Birth of Glamour Photos

In 2005, I took a leap of faith and launched Glamour Photos — a modern photography studio that combined our family's deep-rooted experience with new-age technology and creativity. We transformed from using traditional film rolls to embracing cutting-edge digital workflows, all while holding on to our core values.

Sadly, in 2008, due to my uncle's critical illness, we had to close the doors of Jagdish Color Studio. It was a heartbreaking moment for our family. But the legacy didn’t truly end — it transformed into something new. Today, Glamour Photos stands strong, firmly rooted in the same ethics and service, yet offering a fresh and contemporary approach.
